When news broke that Cos would be launching its Fall/Winter 2022 collection during New York Fashion Week, we automatically knew it would be a shopper’s paradise, especially for minimalists. After all, the brand has been creating timeless designs since its inception in 2007. The ad ran with images of one of our favorite models Paloma Elsseser and actress Natasha Lyonne wearing chic all-black outfits paired with fundamental pieces, which are the backbone of building a strong fall wardrobe.
Surprisingly, the start of the runway collection strayed away from a purely colorless palette; instead, we say jubilant hue infusions. For example, the opening look anchored a beige suit and trench coat with a colossal pink gradient scarf and bright orange fuzzy clutch. In the same vein, there were neon green bucket hats, sleeveless sweaters and bodycon maxi dresses, all in an electrifying hue. Splashes of zebra and plaid prints also made an appearance.
But eventually, the line found its way back to the crisp, clean neutrals we know and love from Cos. With oversized suits in boxy silhouettes, cozy textured sweaters and coats that float just above the runway floor, it’s a great place to find fall wardrobe essentials at a reasonable price. .
