A registered charity, the FatFace Foundation was established in 2009 to make a difference in the lives of people in the communities where FatFace sources, manufactures, sells and distributes its products.

Raising funds and handing out grants that will change people’s lives, the association has already donated to local charities such as the Southern Domestic Abuse Service, MUNCH, the Hayling Skate Park Project and Step by Step.

The new outlet – which will be adjacent to their existing unit in North Street, Havant – covers 2,130 square feet of retail space and is located in the Meridian Mall, purchased by the council in 2019.

Councilor Tim Pike, Chief of Staff for Finance, Regeneration and Estates, said: “We are delighted to welcome such an interesting store in the heart of Havant.

“The FatFace Foundation offers a dynamic and exciting offer for those who shop in the city. With other large retailers such as Home Bargains also opening significant new premises in the city and many new small businesses now populating our Main Street, I am proud to see a city with an expanding shopping offer – not a growing one. decline. ”

Meridian Mall Manager Rob Fryer said, “The Meridian Center welcomes the new store to our main mall.

“We are sure this will be a great success for the foundation and give our local customers a fantastic opportunity to purchase premium products at greatly reduced prices, especially bearing in mind that Christmas is just around the corner. ”

The clothing and lifestyle accessories retailer is headquartered in Ridgway, Havant and was the first company to open at 45-acre Dunsbury Park, Havant in November 2017.

The brand started in 1988 when its two founders Tim Slade and Jules Leaver started selling T-shirts and sweatshirts from their motorhome to finance their skiing on La Face, Val d’Isère. Its first store opened in 2002 in Fulham and now has over 200 stores in the UK and over 20 stores in the US.

Last month, he appointed former COO Will Crumbie as general manager following the departure of Liz Evans.
