The menswear retailer is about to take over the old Paperchase site in St Mary’s Gate …
You may have noticed that the massive Paperchase right next to Deansgate has been closed for some time, after the company went into administration in early 2021 and was therefore forced to close its flagship store.
They’ve since reopened in the Arndale Center, but the 22,000 square foot unit on St Mary’s Gate has been left empty – but it won’t be for long.
The place was snapped up by a high-end retailer END Clothing, perhaps best known as one of the world’s largest online menswear and streetwear retailers.
They sell high quality, carefully selected, international menswear, including high end sportswear, designer sneakers, casual street wear and outerwear.
Since its founding by John Parker and Christiaan Ashworth in 2005, END has grown to include four stores across the UK; in London, Glasgow and two in Newcastle. Manchester should be number five.
The company “will refresh the tired facade of the building” while the existing mezzanine will be removed.
They will offer a range of top fashion brands, such as Adidas, Nike and New balance as well as emerging and established luxury designer brands like Lanvin, Moncler, Acne Studios, Alexander McQueen, Kenzo and Like boys, to only cite a few.
It’s unclear when they’ll open, so keep an eye on END’s social media for developments …
