Jeremy Clarkson complains about online shopping after being worried about traveling to London

Jeremy Clarkson has been enjoying his farming life in the Cotswolds as his Diddle Squat Farm empire grows rapidly following his success with the Amazon Prime Video show Clarkson’s Farm. Leaving the city he had to adjust a lot to his new country life, but now admits he struggles, especially with online shopping.

Clarkson’s Farm has now become a full-time career for the Grand Tour presenter, who tends his farm almost every day. And although he annoys many of his neighbors with the increase in traffic and construction, he admits that he is now bored with shopping online, which he revealed in his last column.

It started when Jeremy tried to commission artwork from a Cornwall gallery, but couldn’t do so after the gallery asked him for too many details:

“I immediately got a message on the screen saying that I had sent ‘an invalid source object’ and that it must be a ‘dictionary or non-empty string’. what it means?

“The worst was yet to come, however, when I attempted to buy a case of Berry Bros wine, because after an hour of hard work choosing what I wanted and where I needed to go, then grabbed my address and that of my mother. maiden name and the reason for the death of my first dog, I found out that the order would not go through.

“So I hit ‘Submit’ again. And then over and over and over again until he finally sent a message saying 640 bottles were on the way.

He then admitted that while trying to buy his girlfriend Lisa Hogan “stocking storage” he discovered he had been blocked from the site he was trying to access.

Jeremy wrote: “So I decided to start with women’s fashion so I visited a site called Net-a-Porter, which, it turns out, sells every piece of clothing ever invented.

“I’m not sure but I think there were at least 40,000 jumpers.

“And I couldn’t watch half of it because, for reasons that are not clear, my Wi-Fi has auto-installed some sort of filter that blocks any site that has flesh in it.

“For the same reason, I couldn’t buy Lisa stocking stuffers at Lovehoney,” he added jokingly.

Jeremy did not want to travel to London due to the potential danger of COVID from the rapidly growing omicron variant in the capital. But he was very happy to hear that his daughter had bought him a classic Mini for Christmas.

He posted a photo of the car on his Instagram account with the caption:

“Look what my crazy, bright, stupidly generous daughter bought me for Christmas.”
