Love Pottery Barn but hate paying full price? Check out the retailer’s little-known “Open Box” online outlet.

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Most homeowners love Pottery Barn’s high-end furniture, but don’t like the swanky retailer’s sky-high prices. Imagine $339 for sheets and $80 for a bath towel? It’s a lot. Even if they are woven from the finest Belgian linen in the world or made from organic long-staple Turkish cotton.

But what many shoppers don’t know is that the Williams-Sonoma subsidiary offers a hidden space on its website where you can get high-quality furniture and home accessories at the brand’s deepest discounts. . No need to wait for a sale or hunt for PB imitators – Pottery Barn’s Open Box deals give shoppers a chance to get some of the retailer’s best-selling bedding, furniture and decor at incredible prices.

These “open box” deals are just that: someone ordered the goods, opened the box, and decided the look just didn’t suit their home. For some reason the item could not be returned to stock – there could be light scratches, fabric pulls or wear; some furniture may need tightening or leveling, explains PB’s website – but these items are being sold at a great discount.

If you’re ok with the lack of original packaging and final sale status, you might end up with a pretty impressive haul.

Some pieces are marked 40% to 50% off, and shoppers are urged to act quickly as inventory changes daily. Here’s a look at five of the section’s current offerings. You can view the full range here.
